Non-Noble Peerages Bill 2014
This Bill: Will allow subjects without noble title, who will from here on be referred to as “non-nobles”, to hold seats in the Mercian Parliament House. The Mercian Parliament House will be referred to as “the Parliament House” or “Parliament”. 1. In accordance with the 17th August Powers of the Nobility Act, subjects who do not hold a noble title will be treated as “landless nobles”. 2. Non-nobles shall have the same legal freedoms and restrictions as nobles 3. This bill hereby accommodates and declares legal the ability for non-nobles to hold seats in the Mercian Parliament House. 4. Non-nobles will have the same rights in parliament as that of noble members. They will have the same voting powers, and ability to propose legislation and amendments. 5. Non-nobles will be elected to the Parliament as in the same manner as nobles. 6. Non-nobles in Parliament will be known as “Peers”, in the same fashion as incumbent members of the Parliament. As such, they may be appointed with ministerial titles. 7. All peers, regardless of their nobility, should be addressed as “Sir/Madam”
