Political Parties and Caucuses BillThe following Bill concerns the official establishment of political parties and partisan government in the Empire, as well as additional provisions for parliamentary groupings of independents in the Imperial Assembly.- A group of two or more persons in the Empire, sharing certain views concerning the politics of the Empire, may found and organise themselves into a Political Party, under the condition that they notify the Electoral Commissioner of its creation.
- A group of Assemblypersons who all share membership of the same Political Party may form a parliamentary grouping known as a Party Caucus.
- A person in the Empire who wishes to partake in the governance of the Empire in the Assembly or elsewhere, but does not wish to join or found a Political Party, is considered an Independent politician.
- Independent Assemblypersons of similar views, but not wishing to form a Political Party, may form a parliamentary grouping known as an Independent Caucus.
- Alternatively, an Independent Assemblyperson may ask to join an existing Party Caucus.
- A person may only be a member of a single Political Party.
- A person may only be a member of a single Caucus.
- The leader of the largest Caucus not in government is known as the Leader of the Opposition.
