6th June Proposed Christian Delegation Referendum Bill
This Act:
Will create an official date for a proposed referendum for Mercian Citizens to decide whether a Christian Church Synod should automatically get a delegate (representative) to the incumbent government cabinet of Mercia.
1. The Referendum shall be held in all ranges of Mercia on a question about the presence of Christianity within Mercia.
2. The simple yes/no question shall read-
“Should the Mercian Christian Church Synod have an automatic representative in the Mercian Government Cabinet?”
3. The proposed date for the opening of the poll will be Thursday 6th of August, with a voting period of a week, ending on Thursday 13th of August.
4. All registered citizens Kingdoms and Lands Represented in the Council of the Diarchal Crowns of the Disciples (as of the passing of this bill) will be entitled to vote in this referendum.
5. Upon a simple majority, Lords of Mercia must amend all government bills which clearly state the presence of a Christian Church Delegation to the Mercian cabinet, including the 6th of December Partisan Democracy bill and the 20th of February Government Ministries act.', and the incumbent Delegate will be officially removed from the cabinet in his capacity as Synod Delegate.

After a round of voting during the session inside the parliament house, the current vote stands at 2 support and 2 oppose.

I was absent at the Meeting where voting commenced, although I did briefly discuss it during the first Meeting of Parliament.

Just a note to say that Count Llewelyn Lawton of the NLP, the Minister of Internal Affairs & Defence, has voted *against* this bill. The vote now stands at Support 3 - 4 Oppose.

The Bill has concluded voting with today's Parliament session. Damien Billbrough and Eren Lewis both opposed. The final tally is 3 in support, 6 against. The bill fails.
